Skinfaxi

Textile sculptures Sabine Halm Skinfaxi

In the secret corners of our sculptor's workshop,
between shadow and light,
was born a sculpture bearing the mystical name of Skinfaxi.
Inspired by Norse mythology, this work evokes
the power of the cosmic horse
that illuminates the sky.

Guided by a fascination for ancient tales,
our sculptor weaves Skinfaxi's life through skillfully
intertwined threads,
bringing forth its silhouette in a ballet of fibers.

Her hands shape every detail with meticulous precision,
bringing forth the silhouette of the mythical animal.
Skinfaxi's flaming mane seems to capture the light itself,
evoking the first glimmers of dawn that pierce
the darkness of night.

But behind this sculpture lies a captivating story.
Skinfaxi is not just a simple horse,
but the faithful steed of the Norse god of the sun.
Every morning, he traverses the skies with fervor,
illuminating the world
with his majestic presence and bringing
light to lands plunged into darkness.

Through this work, our sculptor wishes to pay homage
to the symbiosis between nature and the divine,
capturing the fleeting moment when night gives way to day,
where darkness dissipates before Skinfaxi's radiant light.

Her sculpture thus becomes a timeless symbol of renewal
and hope, reminding viewers of the constancy of the cycle of life
and the magic that resides in every sunrise.
